I was turned on to this car by an ex girlfriend. At the time I drove a troubled Camaro. This car has enough going for it, it will shine through memories of a bad relationship. I took it on a long trip up 5, it feels like it just got started at 90, and it ran low on oil. All of this was my fault, I knew there was a leaky oil gasket. I ended up finding metal in the oil. It drove for 70,000 miles more. It is still driving on 3 cylinders 22,000 miles after that! It's waiting to be fixed. Sorry baby, it is my fault...:)Jan 23, 2013

its got potential, like swaping the engine for something with a little more juice like h22a or b20 vtec coilovers and such however for a stock car its ok it i cant think of any other words to describe my car\

This is a fun little sports car. not so great for long distance driving but is a blast to drive. the acceleration can put a smile on your face. the redline is at 8000 rpm and can hit about 60mph at the peak of 3rd gear. the car is so light that you can do power slides in the rain or snow :) and the gas milage is pretty good for a sports car(30-32 hwy mpg)Dec 03, 2010

Performance- Great accel, High revs, free revving motor, nimble chassis, great suspension compromise, great ride quality, suspension set up provide loads of grip before understeer, predictable limits
Quality- high quality materials in the interior. excellent fit and finish, excellent bolstering on stock seats
Appearance- Flashy yellow (or opt for championship white), rear view obstructing wing, front apron prone to chipping
Cost of ownership- insurance= $$$$, average gas milage

Lots of rattles, overall not superior build quality. Honda/Acura knows how to build a great engine, but they forget everything when it comes to interior....if performance is all you need in a car this is a great car to own. It's very fast for the size of engine it has, and pretty agile as well. Engine is the reason you want to own this. It's amazing. Nov 15, 2009

Quick car, easy to drive. Fast enough to keep up, yet subtle enough to stay out of the cops eyes. Good gas mileage, roughly 30 MPG. Recently finished GSR swap, converted to OEM with Exedy stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel.Aug 12, 2009

Braking/handling- very responsive
build-solid
Interior- plush and comfortable ( this coming from a 6'4 guy)

The Integra Type R is an amazing vehicle. With the ability to take corners at high speed, and the 195 hp engine to help you accelerate out of it. What more could you want.

This car lived a rather frisky life. It had been to VIR
(North,
South & Full course, but died before it got a chance
to view
the Patriot course) 4 times. The only thing it
required extra
from stock were some new break pads and rotors.
The stock
stoppers couldn't handle the demand and would
fade pretty
quickly. The acceleration wasn't that fast as it was a
4
banger, but the handling more than made up for it.
I could
keep up with and sometimes pass M3s on the track
(depending, of course, on the driver). I never did
get R-
compound tires for it. That car met its demise on
the way
home one night trying to avoid hitting a
deer...which it did
accomplish. Ever since, I'm a HUGE fan of the
seatbelt/airbag

This car is fast, the front two seats are outstandly comfortable. This car is VERY easy to work on, so its a must for grease monkeys. Its very fun to drive because of its 1.8 vtec engine. There is no aspect of the car that i dont love, its perfect.Aug 14, 2008

What I like about the car is its staying power. After almost 9 years of ownership I still love the car.
The car has been completely trouble free, has never left me stranded even though it's highly modified and makes over double the factory power level.

Ah my Integra. At first I wanted a 2000 Civic Ex with the EJ6 body. I looked around, found a couple, but they all had bad problems. So sorta as a last resort I followed the next best thing. An Acura. Same build pretty much Honda engine and whatnot. But I wasn't 100%. Until I drove it. Once I did a test drive, of a car I pretty much bought in the closest you can get to Mexico in Houston, my mind was sold. The Integra was me. This car was in REMARKABLE shape, even being a salvage title the engine was pretty much brand new. Say what you want about it, it is a good car no doubt. It will get you to point A to point B and then some. Right now its manual, but hopefully in the future that will change. With money and practice of course.Jul 11, 2008

I love this car. She loves to rev and is superlight, and if you push her into VTEC territory, she goes pretty well for a 1.8L NA car. Handling is great for a FWD and with only 1.8L displacement, fuel efficiency, which is all-important nowadays is awesome. I love the stripped-down street racer image of this car; stripped down sound deadening, light windscreen, Recaro seats, basic interior (forget fiddly buttons on the Momo steering wheels!); just the basics here.Jan 04, 2008

Fun-to-drive factor off the charts! With Bridgestone Potenza S-03 tires gripping the road, flinging the car through the corners was so much fun! Autocrossed this car for a couple of years, learned how to drive proper lines, lift-throttle oversteer, proper braking. Definitely underpowered compared to others, but still had enough pick-up to get you into trouble.

Need help identifying model of my Acura Integra. It's year 2000 but has a special edition badge at the back. The sticker on the frame say RS. But there doesn't seem to be a special edition nor RS for the year 2000?!

What is this hose?
This hose cracked the other day and started shooting out steam while driving. I am not sure what its for can someone please help me identify it? I believe its coming out of the thermostat before the radiator hose.
