Rolls Royce Silver Spur engine dies while driving
I have a 1999 RR Spur, one of the last ones made in Crewe, with a 6.75 L engine. It ran great when I bought it a few months ago. I had trouble picking up stations on the AM/FM radio so I had a certified mechanic replace the radio with a very nice AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth upscale unit. About a month later I was driving the car and the engine died at a traffic light. When I tried to restart it the engine turned over great but wouldn't start. I had it towed in and it ran great for the mechanic; he couldn't find a problem. Sometimes it runs and drives fine but sometimes the engine dies twice when I'm driving to work or the store and I have to let it sit for 30 minutes until it will start and run again. I took it back to the shop and they couldn't find a problem; ran great for them. They don't know what to do and neither do I. I would appreciate any ideas.
