1999 GMC Sierra K2500 Crew Cab SLT with grey leather. 4WD
on the floor. 2002 GMC rims. Shortbox with foot holes. TX
truck with 208000 miles on original engine. Have had no
problems with it. Bought it for a personal vehicle last fall with

1999 gmc sierra 1500 wont start
I drove threw a little water on hiway with other cars (no water appeared to get under hood) truck lost power didn't die right off, a few seconds later lost power , sputtered and died. try to start it and it started but only for a couple seconds never really a true start but a sputter. did this several times then got towed to safer area and let sit a while tried again and it did same sputter a couple times , now no sputter it just cranks over. changed fuel filter, plugs and wires (as they were all old but probably still ok), other than freak timing with a fuel pump or pressure regulator going out at the time I went threw the water what else could I test? it is getting no (zero) pressure on fuel pressure testing gauge and I think the initial sputtering while trying to start it was perhaps residual fuel in the line. also I am not hearing anything from fuel pump but not sure if I ever had heard anything before (with the dinging sound of key in ignition). also I checked fuel pump relay in fuse box and am getting a reading of 85 or so with ohm meter. any thing else possible before trying to change pump? 1999 gmc sierra slt 1500 5.3 2wd auto trans has about 165k on mileage.

99 5.7 vortec
I have a 99 gmc c2500 with a 5.7 vortec. I pulled the motor and dropped 4000$ into parts. Corvette crank cam pistons and heads. Got it running great till last week when I cold start and try and take off it starts to sputter real bad for a couple seconds then launchs, the second issue when I'm giving it gas and let off at my cruising speed it pops and back fires every time I left off the gas. Any ideas what it could be? My MAS just went out ordered a new one. Do you think this is related to my MAS?

NO Brakes 1999 gmc sierra k2500 7.4 with 4 whl drive
Searched for: help, my trick was stolen and abused. I got back with a lot of damage. I'm not so worried about the body damage, I need for pulling horse trailer. Other wise my horses will need to be pulling my truck. I know was in river and water wwas almost up to doors, there is a lift kit but not real big. The cops called me and had it towed home. The power steering pump had leaked some out and brake fluid low. I started the truck and the brake fluid was squirting out by tightened the loose nut and that seemed to fix the leaked. That was 2 weeks ago and now I have no brakes at, just nothing, no resistance at all.
