I have a 1999 gmc jimmy 4.3 l v6 vortech engine and the engine now knocks & I want to replace the engine. I found a 2004 Jimmy engine & I am wondering if it will slide in with no problems. Will this be a big job to do or will it be like any other engine replacement? If it wont fit, what other engine years would be compatible other then a 1999 engine? Thanx Guys.....

Got a 99 jimmy that won't start, it has no spark at the coil, and the fuel pump doesn't engage. Swapped out the ecm, the coil, ignition control module, the crankshaft piston sensor, and cleaned all the ground to the frame, motor, and body, checked all the relays, and changed the ignition switch. Any ideas?
