I bought this car new in 1999 and it has over 200,000 miles on it now. Last year I bought a new 2012 TL - that's how much I loved the TL - and still kept the old one as our spare. I drive a lot for work, and this car has always been comfortable and reliable. I kept up on regular service and this car has responded well. I feel like I could get another 100k out of it. It's a work horse.
* Update June 2013: just finally had to have the original radiator replaced.Nov 25, 2012

love it love it love it love it love it love it lkove it the car gets up and goes when u want it it comfy and it handles fairly this is my first winter with it and it is a beast in the snow braking is strong and traction control works good for getting u moving Jan 26, 2012

I had the car for 11.5 years. Had no major problems. Still powerful and smooth at 185K miles.
The car has a right balance between luxury, power, sporty handling and smooth comfortable ride. Loved the car. I think I could've kept the car for another 100K miles without too much trouble.Dec 08, 2011

After almost 6 years and 100000 miles, the end is near. Don't get me wrong, this Acura Tl is the best car I have ever owned. With 50 + years behind the wheel I want more of the Honda pie as it were. My goal is a Rl 2002-2004 in the near future.Nov 13, 2011

Good car, had it for a while and haven't had many problems. Performance is good
over all could have a little bit better acceleration but other than that no problems

It's your average everyday 4 door Sedan enough said. Though I have modified the car to handle and brake better (new struts n springs and wide wheel and tire combo). But this car being a Honda is reliable and cost little to maintain.Sep 13, 2011

I have had this car since 2001 and has never really had any major problems with the car until about 2 years ago. And I believe it is only because it has about 330,000 miles. She still rides like the first day I purchased her. Hope to get another 100,000 miles out of her... :)Aug 11, 2010

Very good car. Handles great, good on gas, not to many mechanical issues. Nasty engine,it has awsome acceleration!Had it at over 100 mph in third gear!!! Very fun to drive it! Adding a transmission cooler brings the temp of the tranny down for more aggressive drivingMay 18, 2010

the acceleration os steller, braking is average, the build quality is
amazing with a few rattles. gas milage is ok could be better, the
maitnenence is minimal but expansive if you dont take it to the most

the gas was cheap for gass. it was fun to drive. the maintenace is kinda gud.:/ but

I remember pimpin on this car when I was on
St. Croix, the semi-automatic transmission
was friggin awesome. I was so into sexy car
that I washed it every two days.......it was fun
to drive and I remember going out with my
friend almost everyday in tis car. this car was

the v-tec 3.2 accelerates beautifuly. the handling could be better but for as big as it is, i understand it cant turn on a dime. gas is the only part of the TL that is rough, premium gas and only 19 mpg in the city. ouch. in all, the TL is a great car.Jul 30, 2008

Ero-car feel, no bad on it ....
fun to drive , low cost for fixing , easy to pass any car, even the K20, haha~
JDM. just a little weak than the later model..
no more i can say just go for it...........

I got the Acura when my Pathfinder was getting too expensive to drive, I loved the car. In a year and a half I put 40K on the car and had no major problems at all except some speeding tickets. The interior was great, sound system was perfect, and gas mileage to power was exactly what it needed to be. At 115K the transmission was going and thats the only reason I traded it. In hindsight I shouldn't have. Topped out at 145, and made a guy with a Vette rethink what he was driving.Apr 04, 2008

Won't start after long idle
hi if I sit in my car too long on idle and then turn it off and try to turn it back on again it won't start usually I have to wait 25 to 30 minutes why

my engine just revs as if car is in park while it actually is in drive mode.
When I engage the drive mode, the car moves but after a short while, it just revs as if the gear is in neutral or park. It picks on its own after a few seconds or minutes. Pls any ideas what could be wrong? My automatic gear oil level is good. Proble occurs both in automatic transmission mode and manual drive mode. Thanks

How do I go about proving the mechanic ruined my transmission
I took my car in for a water pump timing belt change and brought the mechanic all the parts I picked up my car 8 hours later and my transmission was shot I had to be towed.
