When I am driving the oil pressure will suddenly drop and the van will shut off when I am braking. what could be causing this?

It sits great. I saw pictures for months on Craig's List and kept looking back at it. Drove 2hrs to buys her. In a short time has made me good money. It started right up yesterday. I just sat in it for a while. The brakes stop on a dime. On fast turns I has a heavy sway. The inside is a little noisy because of the open emptiness. For a six cylinder it has a lot of power. Help on power issues
I bought a 97 dodge ram 1500 van. Within 7 miles ,oil light came on and temp went up,but van had oil and it wasn't hot. Then it died, I jumpedit but when I remove cables it dies. Is it alternator or computer or something else. I don't have money to replace it all.

Dodge ramvan b2500 lost power, why?
Hey so I drive a 1997 dodge ram van b2500 5.2l 318 V8. Ive lost all power even on flat land now. It started as just power loss going uphill but now its gotten much worse. When i give it gas past 1/4 peddle it sounds like the engine starts to shake and it and gets a high pitched whine almost and very slowly gets up to speed. What ia going on? Please help
