Owned my 1996 fto gpx for over a year now... and for what it costs to buy these now i find them hard to beat, great look, awesome sound (with a filter and exhaust) excellent performance (if you use the full 8000rpm) and surefooted handling.... my only major gripes are the brakes as standard arent much cop and the interior is a little bit bland as most jap cars tend to be.
Overall its great and you would be daft not to pick one of these up now as pound for pound you wont find much that looks as good as these nor has the performance nor sound of that mivec v6 wailing away :)
Get one now while theres still some decent ones left !!!Jun 20, 2010

this is a two door sports car, which is a stylish design of Mitsubishi.it looks like a European sport car.you can only see
the Mitsubishi badge in the front bumper.came in unique
colors.the one i owned was the only car which had 1.8litre
engine where all the other cars were2litre.there are no more
than 5cars in the country.Aug 13, 2009

One of the best handling cars I have ever driven :-) Very light og good response. It is very surprision to have so much fun with only 180 HP but it is because of an V6 engine that takes 8250 RPM.Jul 23, 2009

I bought this car because I wanted something easy to drive to and from work but have fun with on the weekends. It did pretty much what I wanted, it was confortable on the motorway in full auto and fun to use on the lanes in tiptronic. Was put together nicely, only needing tyres and pads.....untill the gearbox gave up. In the end it would have cost too much to fix and ended up being broken up fo spares. Shame, nice car up till that.May 10, 2009

all around good car, wouldnt suggest it for a first car due to costs etc. but driveability is top level, braking and acceleration i cannot flaw, handling due to lines and angle of car thru downforce etc and being front wheel drive very responsive...all around great car.May 19, 2008

Typical mitsi, everything just clips together perfectly inside, making modifying very easy. Good engine but lacks the performance to match the looksJan 06, 2008

Driving this FTO is an absolute joy. My 1996 GPX (2000CC V6 Manual MIVEC) handles beautifully and has plenty of speed. The acceleration does not put you back in your seat - there are definately faster cars out there - but it is more than enough, and you get some extra boost at 5500 revs when the MIVEC kicks in. It is an absolutely beautiful car and turns plenty of heads.Dec 27, 2007
