1994 Volkswagen Polo CL 1.05
Power - Small engine with very little torque, meaning with passengers, speed decreases and engine demand increases.
Looks/Style - Boxy, the headlights were alright.
Maintenance - Cheap parts, easy quick engine to work on.
Back Seats - Not a lot of room, if you're 6ft behind the wheel only someone 5ft5 could fit behind you.
Handling - Nimble but, understeered like hell in the wet.
Front Seats - No lumbar support but they weren't too hard not soft.
Reliability - Never had a brakedown, didn't like starting up in he cold though.
Family Car - Turn away over good if you have toddler or smaller.
Fuel Economy - Low pulling power, means you're revving the balls of it, thus a low MPG figure.
Price - Wasn't expensive nor cheap to buy.
Cargo Capacity - Big boot for a car this size.
Overall - A good first car for a young driver.Jul 18, 2012

A really mint little car on 65,000 miles for £300 so what more can I say, cheap reliable car for no real money so with that in mind it was a great little car for the short time I owned it.Sep 04, 2010

Like: It's the base of the G40,
Dislike: It's not a G40
Performance: In town good due to low kerb weigt considered the BHP, highway nice cruiser
Build Quality: OK, some costs lately but every car needs some repairs once in a while, after all it still rolls!
Appearance: OK, other carmakes made far worse that era and, I love it compared to the monsters which come out in that class.
Cost of Ownership: 6.5l/100 km in summer, 7.5l/100 km in winter for combined cycles. Maintenace: It gets its oil and filters in time...
Fun Factor: OK, a bit more torque and power (supercharger!!! --> G40 or Sorgmotorsport), a bit less body roll and an LSD would make it quite perfect! Jul 06, 2009

Not the quickest
Not the biggest for lugging band gear around
Not the cheapest
the insurance for me was a lot but thats because its on my own policy. the tax well 120 pound a year is dirt cheap
it take about 30 quid to fill the tank and goes for a goo 200 miles on it
But I LOVE ITJul 05, 2009

It's white, has very nice sporty look and I love
the line of it's body :-)
this is a perfect car for a person who passed
his driving license test few weeks ago.
It's small. perfect for city traffic. it's
performance is very good on start but lacks of
power during longer trips, when it goes to
pass TIR or other cars.
It consumes small amounts of gas (about 6-
7L/100KM during the city drive and
~5L/100KM on the road)Aug 16, 2008
