This car started as a project for me. When I bought it from a guy in Florida it didn't have a motor and the interior was shot. I put a lot of time and effort into rebuilding a period correct motor to Type R Spec. Which wasn't an option for that year. I furthered my efforts by having the car tuned and was surprised to see that with the modifications it is now making more WHP than any Type R Spec produced. My only complaint was out growing it. Great on gas and cheap to fill up. Easy and affordable to maintain. It's front wheel drive so its easy to get around in. The ride is comfortable and it's easy to handle. It's a very cute car and is fun to drive.Jan 29, 2014

right now its a just a bone stock B18B1 its about to get a heart transplant...a
JDM B16A with some goodies and a LSD trans...
Its a a 94 so it has had some repairs to it after i got it like a half shaft shearing
in half two radiators..the trans in it now...third gear grinds...
The body is in decent shape for 225,000 miles...has some Honda cancer like
usual but not all that bad...needs repainted...
Its great on fuel cheap to fill up...
overall the car is fun to drive..i love to drive it...nothing like being able to go

It's a nice car. The star review is for how it is now. Not how it came from the factory. I've done some work to the engine, suspension, brakes, and body. The only problem with the car now is that it needs a paint job from being 16 years old.Nov 23, 2010

Performance is really nice for what it is. Not much maintenance needed, if needed though, real cheap on labor and parts. performance or cosmetic parts are really easy to come by. Appearance is nice all around. If you don't like certain things about the exterior, there is a large variety of different body kits, to conversions that can be done to fit the car more to your liking. Cost is not really expensive but good quality with low mileage for a reasonable price is kind of hard to come by.Sep 23, 2010

i loved the car! awesome for a first car! quick, excellent stock handling and soooo much fun to drive. never really had any issues with her just a tiny trans slip and old coolant hoses popping but all else was regular maintenance. did have the axle pop out twice but for improper alignment. thanks town fair tire.Sep 21, 2010

always started tuned it up and raced it every chance i got!
ok on 309 going south from q-town it would hold about 85 on the corner

160K miles, no significant problems. Interior still looks like new. Underpowered and a bit noisy, but great in the snow. Seat are a bit tired, so I don't recommend it for long drives. Headroom could be better. Still much nice than the Civic underneath.Apr 12, 2010

Well the B18B1 is an amazing motor, they last for ever but
they only have 160hp at 6000rpm. This is a wicked car to
drive! With quad disk brakes theres a ton of breaking power.
The body lines on it are dope, curvy in the front and boxed in

At the time, this sucker was the king of the import hill. Finding an unmolested example these days would be a challenge, and in all honesty it handles about as well as my base Fit. Still, if you can find a 5-speed that hasn't been riced, especially a Type R, you could do much worse for a sweet handling, high revving, reliable daily driver that can double as a weekend autocrosser.Dec 12, 2008

Fun to drive, quick, great gas mileage. Lots of performance goodies available. Has everything I need to enjoy my daily drive to work and also have fun in the process. VERY dependable, nice looking and economical. What more can you ask for? I'd own another one if I had to purchase another car.

Great car, gets 35mpg on the freeway, looks nice if it is taken care of. Great paont job. Good acceleration for only a 1.8 L inline 4 cylinder. Would reccomend it to anyone, or any acura for that matter, an Integra, TSX, TL, or RL, they are all great cars :)Aug 19, 2008

This was a pretty fun car to own for a few weeks. It got boring fast and annoying due to the noise and how low it was. It was definatly quality and had a lot of life left. I liked how it was shaped and the interior was pretty decent but it felt cramped. Jul 29, 2008

cold air intake. The inside is simple but well designed. The gauges have a good look, the
"font" is nice. The outside is nice, except for the infamous rust spot behind the rear wheel

Loud annoying constant ticking sound when idling....
Basically whenever i'm stopped fully and wait about 1-2 seconds i start to hear a very annoying and loud ticking sound coming fromt the engine bay. Am either thinking it is the fan belt or the bearings in the water pump are done? Anyone got any other theories? thanks!
