what engine should I get for my 93 impreza
I have a base model 93 impreza. I want more power for weekend fun. there's a 05 forester xs that's been wrecked at a junk yard near me. should I grab this or save money to order offline.

Couldn't want for anything more for a car that is nearly 20 years old it still shifts,
handles great, not the worlds fastest as it's only a standard 1.8. Never ever has it
let me down, passes m.o.ts not probs had it for 3 years and can't let go!!! Love
the way it looks, inside is basic but it has what it needs to have. Doesn't need high
maintenance and petrol can go far as long as you go easy on it.
This is the most fun car I have ever driven and sounds awesome always a head

love everything! It's an easy drive, and it shifts smooth. It's not the fastest car in the world, but it's great for here. It's easy to drive in the rain, even though the streets here are super slick (coral roads). It's great for carrying the dogs around in and going to the beach! May 16, 2010

Hmm, my parents bought it new in '92, and since our family has put 400k kms on it and it's showing no sign of dying on us any time soon. It looks like it could go any day from the outside, it now seems to be rust coloured with red spots, but I'll still trust it with my life.Sep 22, 2009

wot can i say this is my 3rd impreza n wont be my last i love them. performance is great and it stops as gd as it accelerates and goes round corners like its on rails. once u get round the running costs its a fun car to drive alot of car 4 ur moneySep 03, 2008

this car sold me on Subarus. i bought this car as a beater to get to work every day with good gas mileage. i've put A LOT of miles on this baby and she still runs great. i've never really had any regular problems with her, just normal wear and tear items. and rust O_OMar 14, 2008

A really nice reliable car. Drove very well and the 4WD was fantastic.

1993 Subaru Impreza won't start after disconnecting battery. Possibly anti theft?
Bought a new battery and starter for my 1993 Subaru Impreza wagon after it was sitting for a while. I was able to get it started yesterday after jumping it, but then after disconnecting the negative terminal and reconnecting it the alarm it started going crazy and i have to flip the valet switch while attempting to crank the car at the same time to disarm it. After I get the alarm off I try starting the car only to hear a click behind the dash with no crank at all. All lights and radio are on in the car but it will not crank since yesterday.
