1992 Toyota Cressida Reviews, Pricing & Specs
Write a review
The 1992 Cressida remained unchanged for the model year. This would be the last year Toyota would produce the Cressida; due to the success of their Lexus line, Toyota opted to discontinue the mid-sized sedan. In 1995, however, the Toyota Avalon, another large, luxurious sedan was introduced. The Cressida was Toyota’s last rear-wheel drive sedan sold in the US.
The 1992 Toyota Cressida only came in one trim level. The engine was a 3.0-liter, 190 horsepower V6, and the Cressida was only available with a four-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy was about 19/24 mpg.
Drivers still love the 1992 Cressida even today, and many lament the fact that they are no longer made. Drivers find the rear-wheel drive more fun to drive than front-wheel drive, and they like the quiet but powerful engine and luxurious features. Some drivers wish the car came as a five-speed, and others don’t like the fact that it needs premium gas.
