My opinion on this car; Excellent family car. The performance is great for only being a 78BHP 4-Cyl 1.6l engine. The brakes don't seem to work as well as they used to. The car handles wonderful in the high desert where it snows 8 months out of the year. The appearance isn't too bad for being a 90's sedan. This car is extremely cheap to maintain. After going to 80,000 miles when I first got it to 100,000 miles when most cars start to tend to have problems from people not maintaining them properly, i've spent about $2,000. This car is very fun to drive. Being an automatic, you'd think that only having 78BHP and being roughly 1400 gross lbs you can actually squawk the tires.Nov 06, 2010

good for getting from a to b on a low budget fun in the winter with good snow tires i have upgraded the exhaust system intake fuel injector and added msd ignition to get a little more power out of the gutless wonder after that the car is not too bad and beats most civic off the line but on the highway it sucks with its hydromatic but still can do 100mph if you like to rev the piss out of it oh ya the damned factory head light system is horendrous in this vechile i suggest if you decide to get one of these that you bypass the relays and change the switching around if you do not want to have a small fire under the dash that is the only real issue i have had with this car Oct 04, 2009

This car was my first, bought for my by my Mother in 1999 (I think). And was a piece of crap right from the start. I was blinded by the fact that I had a car to myself and didn't notice, but wow! The 4 cyl. engine that it had it believe put out 98 horsepower, and did 0-60 in 14 sec. This thing was a rocket! But at the time it was better then my bicycle! I bought light covers for it that when the were on and it was dark I couldn't see that road so the headlights weren't bright enough (Even when I put different bulbs in). The drivers side door latch broke so that I had to hold the latch up while I was shutting the door. Do you know how many times I caught my own hand in the door? Enough, was enough! I when out and got myself a new car in 2001 and the only thing that made it all better was that it huge pile of junk got passed on to my younger brother Mike to use! He still thanks me to this day for the free death trap!Apr 19, 2008
