It's a street car produced solely to compete in the WRC. It's the predecessor to
the EVO 1 which took it's spot in '92 as mitsu's factory rally car. It's a sleeper, but
will run down camaro SS's/ 5.0 stang's in the quarter. Worst drive train problems

The sixth generation Galant, this VR4 is a limited edition with only 1000 for US
market in 1992. It equipped with the famous 4G63 turbo engine. it is very fast and
good handling, thanks for the AWD and AWS system, it is a very unique cornering
feeling on the AWS system. The exterior styling is good, interior is spacious. Gas
mileage is ok considered it is a performance turbo car. The only things need is a
bigger brake and a little lighter weight. Super super fun to drive! It is still one of my

LIKES: Interior & Exterior styling, power, excellent handling, fuel consumption is fair, its responive and fun to drive. excellent cooling system, never got me into serious problems...

Love it my Galant VR-4! Just dont have the money to finish rebuilding it. When I did have it running, it ran like a champ even though it spent months in the garage for storage but it started right up.Feb 06, 2010

Performance: Lets just say it isn't stock
Build Quality: Pretty good considering the power and age
Appearance: It's not pretty, but that's not the point
Cost: Good money to fun ratio
Fun Factor: Awesome car, ridiculously fun to drive.

Dude, it's a galant vr4. There were only 3000 total in the United States, 2000 in 1991 and 1000 in 1992. They came with all wheel drive, all wheel steering, 200 horsepower turbocharged 4G63 engines, and were even individually numbered. Mine is 502/1000Aug 20, 2009

The god of Mitsubishi, Its what started the AWD Turbo for the Evolution as a 4dr sedan with 4ws. This is 1 of 3000 total in America. It handles great and has a great aftermarket, Total Sleeper car and is very Rare.Jun 29, 2009

I like the feeling and handeling of the car, and as a start, its good enough. performance wise, its a very good car. had to open the hood more than once to fix stuff if ye know what i mean, but its to easy to do stuff with it, that my dad and at times i, can have it done in a couple of hoursJan 08, 2009

En cuanto al rendimiento es exelente se consiguen todos los repuestos para modificarlo por lo que es el motor 4g63t el mismo del eclipse y evo's ; su apariencia es de un auto bravo muy elegante su nombre lo dice no se presta para tuning exterior si no mas bien un clean style con rines mas grandes pero manteniendo su apariencia ; Su costo es minimo para su rendimiento y solo los conocedores saben que hay debajo del capo y por ultimo solo se describe en dos palabras GALANT LAUNCH..... It is 16yrs old and by looking at it or even driving it you would never know. It's all wheel drive, turbo charged, has leather throughout. It is truly a 4 dr sports car. I have done a lot to it which is why I won't sell!! Most people either don't know or sleep on all of the cars abilities until I have left you so far behind you are left to scratch your head and wonde what the HELL just happened!!!!

i really liked my galant, but i got it from someone who just disposes of cars, and babied it for about a year, until the tranny puked. i thought maybe it just overheated, so i replaced the radiator and cooler lines, and it ran for about 10 to 15 miles, then gave up. i never got it back, since it would have meant getting a new tranny i didn't have the money for. otherwise, i loved the power, handling, room, style, everything. i'll be looking into getting a newer used one at some point soon, since the gas mileage was amazing.Jul 02, 2008

This is a rare car to find for those who know about this car can back me up on this one. I found this car in des moines, Iowa after moving to Davenport, Iowa from Tampa, Florida. Its badged #545/1000 in 92. Car is a lot of fun to drive, especially in rain or snow =). Car has lots of potential with very little bolt ons. Its nile black, with volvo wheels, leather interior, 4 doors very good to have if you want a sleeper. This car handles corners fairly well. launches perfect everytime. May 18, 2008
