I really like these truck being that they are rare, and they were yet so far advanced in their time. The standard cab is very versatile, although the bigger Spacecab model is more beneficial to an active lifestyle having the extra room would come in handy.Nov 28, 2013

Performance: Acceleration Sux; Braking good, Handling fair. no power steering
Build Quality: of course it need its repairs it a 92 duh. But it was built to last.
Appearance: it wasn't all that great but could of been it i had put more into it.
Cost: cheap to get, GOOD gas saver, good work truck. maintenance was good too.
Fun only cuz its a stick shift, pickup, and can drive long ways.Aug 18, 2009

Old truck, new everything -- won't start after sitting. Why?
Ok, first, I know this is an old truck. But, I've had extensive work done on it: tune up kit (plugs, wires, cap), a rebuilt 2-barrel carb installed, timed by a good mechanic. The fuel pump works ok I was told. When I asked the mechanic if there were anything else I could do, he replied honestly, "It is what it is." Ok, my question is, if all of the above has been done, what is the difference between that engine and one that is much newer? In other words, why is it so difficult to start, especially if I let it sit for only a few days (nearly run down the battery then). What else can I do to/for the engine? Thanks.

I'm replacing seal near pitman arm on power steering gear box I couldn't get right seal because parts house couldn't match up part.
