1992 Honda Prelude Preview summaryImage

The 1992 Honda Prelude ushers in the fourth generation of the car. Changes make it shorter, lower, and wider as well as a fastback instead of a notchback.

The 1992 Prelude - in decent shape - runs between $1,400 and $4,500. For that price, you get speed, performance, reliability, and a really fun car.

Considered by many drivers to be a sweet ride, the car boasts a race car feel along with race car performance coming from the 4-cylinder 2.+ liter engines that carry from 135 hp to 195 hp.

The drawbacks seems to be the lack of space in backseat and trunk, and the way the car goes through oil, but none of that has kept many owners from keeping their cars 10 years or more, and even over 200,000 miles with no complaints.

Basic pralude with a single cam, not in the best of shape it looks ran down and under maintained, the body has some rust and missing trim. If you’re looking for a project car it’s probably worth checking out but it’s not worth it for the price!Nov 16, 2022

Overall its a well balanced car and lots of owners get rid of them due to not being able to upkeep on the car. Brakes are ok, upgrade to Vtec-Si front brakes and it stops really well. Acceleration with a h22 is very minimal due to the powerband and torque. Once you put it to the floor its amazing. Very fun car. Dec 15, 2011
