i have a 91 might max with a 2.4 4g64 it has a new timing belt and new tensioner and ever 50 miles it stops running and I have to re time it. with the engine at tdc the crank gear doesn't line up to the mark on the block and the cam gear dosn't line up to anything but I can get it running. also have to have the distributor fully advanced to get it to run... if this make any sense please give me some insight into what is going on.
I just replaced the timing belt
If I wanted to drop a v8 in my truck what motor will be the easiest. I can't find any interchange info on line and I'm all new to this. OR it's for sale if anyone is interested.
First I started blowing the MFI Buss fuse that is attached to the battery, I had sparks coming out of the housing that holds the throttle cable, figured short/grounding problem. cleaned up all grounds, new battery cables...it ran for a week. Now it's doing it again. Found a wire coming out of the wiring harness that the alternator wires come out of..It is yellow with thick black insulation. It looks like it pulled out of something, its not cut. Can find nothing in my wiring diagrams that tells me what this is and where it goes. It was'nt cut and the only thing near there is the alternator and a sensor that another wire that comes down beside the wiring harness goes to...can you help. Thanks CRC
where can i get all new wire harnesses that run under dashboard and to the fuse box to engine my lights and fuel gages stop working and the wiring is all tore up i need new wires but can't find any place to get it amf is there a name for those wire's
