mint body. real good performance. pretty economic (500km per 50$ of 91octane).

Old arthritic and beaten every day of its life since 1990, complete with a gutless tired old 200k mile 9a 4cyl 16v that is steadily pissing oil out of every seal/gasket. I would like a VR6. Basically its a rusted and dented junkyard worthy piece of crap.. but even in its current condition, i love it and its fun to drive :) May 02, 2010

I bought this car in Feb 1990 - YES, that's right, 1990. And now it's March 2010 and it's still in continuous use. What a work horse!!! It is still fun to drive, performs and handles well, heats up good and fast in the winter, but the 185/55 R15 81V tires aren't too good in snow, so I have an SUV for that. Calypso green still stands out and looks great.Mar 11, 2010

Its a 1990 Jetta wolfsburg edition. It has a 2.0L 16v engine. Puts out about 130 whp. Its pretty small for a 4 door. Its a 20 year old car so it has its flaws. Its a blast to drive, No power steering so its kinda like a go-kart.Jan 09, 2010

I love my 1.8t I put in it!
drilled breaks and all disks is a must, and with the coilovers it handle's well

In 1990 VW dropped the GLi variant which was replaced by the GTX. The mark 2 chassis and 16 valve 2.0 litre engine were complimented with BBS cross-spoked 15 inch rims and Recaro electric height adjustable racing seats. This variant was limited to two years in production.Jan 09, 2008

Very Fun Car, Rare and Expensive to keep up, parts hard to find. Car was a bit too High Performance for the VW Range when originally offered to public, only 5000 per Model Year Produced.Dec 01, 2007
