Where's the ground wire that goes from the battery to the motor at. Is it a plug of a bolt. My car acts like the alternator is bad but Its not. Can having a bunch of oil and black stuff on it completely stop my car from starting and staying running.
I put a good used alternator on my car and used the negative terminal test and it worked then after 5 minutes of running with all the accessories on it died and the alternator was dead. The next day I bought a new one put it on there and used the same test. But it ran again without the cable on there so I thought it was a fluke cause it worked for 3 days. But the other day everything started getting dim like a bad alt and it ended up dieing. I got the battery and alt checked they were both fine. My terminals are clean and look good and so do the wires could I have fried an Ecu fuse or something that easy?? I know nothing about Ecu computers.
How much is the cost of having a ignition key w/chip made ? I only have one key & it's for the door, although it fits into the ignition,but won't start the motor. Is it worth $200 to buy this car?
I just bought a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo 2.0 from the junk yard. Smoked like hell so i changed the turbo and it helped with the smoke but when driving the car for a good 15 minutes it starts bogging out and stuttering. Kicks back and forth, wont go past 4rmgs and leaks mad oil. When cold it runs just about prefect. I also cahnged the spark pulgs in it but it didnt really seem to work. My question is what is the problem!?!?!?!
I hit a pothole recently and it broke my strut when that happened the tire fell and pulled the axle out of the transmission. When that happened there was some grinding noises I could feel the vibration from the shifter. The trans is an automatic. It wants to roll in park too. Bad trans? Someone please explain this.
