1990 Honda Prelude Preview summaryImage

A bit boxy, with the notchback rear, the 1990 Honda Prelude nevertheless had many fans.

The favorite descriptors for the car are "great," "cool," "fast and fun." Others include the "quintessential Japanese sports car,” and "reliable and nimble."

One driver, in obvious appreciation of the 105 hp produced by the 4-cylinder 2 liter engine said, "Yet, that was me that flew past you."

Given the age today, there aren't many 1990 Preludes around. But if you're lucky enough to find one, you can expect to pay between $100 for a parts-car to $3500 for one in very very good shape.

performance: among the best, great acceleration and impecible handling always with zero body roll Build Quality: it looked like it was at one point very good, but as i got the car second hand my frame needed to be rebuilt from scratch when i bought it Appearance: given its age the car was absolutely beautiful, very streamlined. the interior only had one ugly piece... the gauge cluster Cost: better gas mileage than some new vehicles, and being a honda the motor will last forever. fun factos=10 of 10Dec 29, 2010

This is my current project. I bought this '90 Si after my '91 got run over by a Jeep, and swapped all of the good/better parts from the '91 into this chassis, along with some new goodies. I've dumped quite a bit of money into almost every aspect of this car, but I wouldn't have it any other way, and I'll probably never be done playing with it.Dec 22, 2010

The Performance on this car is pretty good, turns on a dime, brakes nicely, it has a lil bit of a low torque issue but after the acceleration is incredible, It is in need of a few repairs, but runs OK!Sep 08, 2010
