Turns by won't start. 1990 Dodge D I50
Hard rime starting it rough idle, cuts out and dies when driving. Replaced the distributor cap, rotor and new wires. It turnsover butbwont start. Advice is greatly appreciated.thank you

its a 5 speed so it has great get up and go it can pull any thing and haul anything you want it to. Its built like a tank this thing is a beast. th interior is in great shape the extertior is'nt bad normal rust over bed wells. Its not that bad fuel wise. OHHH and is the truck ever fun! it may be 2 wheeled drive but she can go through anything ya want her to.Nov 04, 2011

bad ass light duty truck not fast or as strong as the 2500s but it gets the job done just as good the bad ------ passanger door, rockers and the steering is some times messed up but still would never trade this truck for a fordMar 07, 2011

doesnt run right know but it should be by the end of this summer(hopefuly)
since its an older truck its very srtong and well built.
blue,shortbed stepside,comfterable bench set.
not that expensive to drive(depending on gas prices)
rly fun to drive when its runnin.its been in 2 races that i know of and won both

best 2WD i have ever owned. The 318 CID V8 is always ready to run all the time. the cost is minimal and parts are easily available at any parts house. i get about 22mpg on the highway and 18mpg city.Jan 04, 2010

Bought this truck as a project vehicle to work on during school to keep my mind busy. Its been a super slow process, but it has all been well-worth the effort. I started off doing a body-off restoration and it has evolved from there. I rebuilt the stock 318 motor in it, then realized I would need a much bigger engine to do what I wanted it to do. I am currently looking for a 93-98 cummins 12 valve diesel. As of right now, the truck is sitting at an auto body shop waiting to be worked on. I will have plenty of money into this truck, but it will all be well worth it.Dec 27, 2009

I got mine for 500 bucks. I put in a super coil, A tune up and Put on some 15" fats in the back. Runs good! Great power. Normal Braking. Nothing wrong but a little rust above the left wheel well. I have 2 12" MTX subs with a 1200 watt alpine amp. Pioneer radio. New Carpet. Not bad on gas. Really fun to drive and can spin tires very nice.Sep 17, 2009

this truck is a street monster .... its loud, fast , and blue. it is my first love. it can do some damage too.. a few years ago i literally ran over a 1997 mustang. i recommend this truck to anyone who wants sleeping people to hate them.Aug 02, 2009

Gotta love the old Dodge, Its old but its still alot more fun to drive then the honda, and you can sit in the engine compartment when you are working on it. Lets see you do that with the new pick-ups, not gunna happen. Its got plenty of power with the 318.Jul 30, 2008

actually i had a 1985 Dodge 150 Custom. she had a 318 with a POSI rear end. the truck was origanally bought off the city of medicine hat and was a base model truck (no tilt a/c no nothin lol) and origanally ran off of natural gas but converted to gasoline. it was blue in color and was tough as nails. the 318 had enough power to spin the tires goin into 2nd! the only thing i put onto the truck was the dual exhaust...teh best $500 ive ever spent lolDec 06, 2007

I had a 1989, but for some reason they dont have that year on here. Engine is reliable, as is drivetrain. However I did destroy a transmission by overrevving it on the interstate, the 4spd is not meant for more than 65 mph. But with the old dodges, you are able to get parts from many different years. I changed my 4spd out to one from a 1979 ramcharger 4spd. Transfercases however are different.Dec 05, 2007

Where do I start and what can I do?
I have a 1990 Dodge W-150, overall it is currently in bad shape. I have done minor repairs to keep it running, but I can feel and hear things slowly but surely coming apart, that being said, I am wanting to completely replace a lot of it's parts. Bigger engine, maybe try to make it a straight drive and other things. I have a little experience under the hood, and have no problem welding or cutting out pieces. It is just kind of overwhelming to see all that I would have to do, Im not sure where to start or what all to do, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Need a fuel pump module for 1990 dodge d150 pickup with the 5.2 liter 318. Problem is they have been discontinued and can't find at junkyards. I'm stuck on what to do now
