They do not make a truck like this anymore i have a 1989 silverado and this truck is awesome the part that i have to replace when needed are the original parts that have stood the test of time and are original from 1989 and we are in 2021 let that speak for itselfOct 29, 2021

very nice silverado. this is a mark industries custom. i traded this with the '96 t-bird when we bought ourselves a house. i used this chevy as a daily driver and i hauled cargo with it. the 350tbi engine was awesome. with overdrive tranny and 3.55:1 rear it launched like crazy and had top speed of 200kmh (120mph). nice surprise for ricers. had to sold it to get the '76 t-birdFeb 21, 2013

Loved it. Not a single complaint. Paid $300 put about $800 into it and it ran great until I was cut off and t-boned a car. The stars I gave it were for the truck as it was not a comparison to any other vehicle. Jan 05, 2013

I love this truck i have beatin new avalanches, f150's, and silverado's. they have computerchips and other mods to them too. the cam isnt huge but you can definitly tell theres a bigger one in it and it sounds more like a racecar when i get on it. my plans are to turn it into a 454ss clone and keep the factory color and have it pro street and stripMay 12, 2012

The performance is good but needs work. It has needed mulitple repairs but is running good currently. The paint is getting faded and chiped and their are some dents but still looks great. It is so much fun to drive, sounds and looks great. Nov 29, 2011

nice truck runs well and hasn't let me down yet!
matanace is easy all repairs are easy to do with standard hand tools and i haven't had to send out anything and its a blast to drive. i still get looks when driving around town Nov 24, 2011

It has a 454 big block bored 60 over with a msd ignition mild cam hooker headers lots of chrome about 375 hp to the wheel, cracked the flywheel. posie trac rear end lot lot lots more too much to post

I can't compare to other 1990 C1500's because mine is built for performance. Triangulated 4-Link rear suspension, 12 Bolt rear end with 3.73's a posi and disc brakes. Stock 350cid motor, still runs a 15.8 quarter mile!Feb 25, 2010

runs great lifted up some good mudding truck. sounds nice. got a 350 in it with and edelbrock carb and a k&n intake system. lots of fun to drive. lots of fun in the mud. have not tried towing anything with it yet so wouldnt know about its towing ability.Feb 01, 2010

rebuilt 350- flat top pistons, 79 block, edelbrock torquer 2 intake with a holly 4 brl 600 cfm 1460 carb. with a 4 speed w overdrive sittin on some old school eagle rims and indy low pro's. like a candy apple red, black add on hood scoop, sun roof. lots o rust, in the process of fixing. very fun to drive, had the secondaries workin and she started hopin and skippin in 3rd gear. goes over 110.Jan 03, 2010

good acceleration, braking(careful of locking the brakes) and handling. handles well on dry and wet pavment. need weight in the winter to keep from sliding around every cornner. soild truck not much maintenance needed. 12 mpg to 18mpg depending on driver, tranny, gearing and 2WD or 4WD. very fun to drive in all conditions.Oct 19, 2009

Chevy 350ci, good strong. Aftermarket interior package done. Made the interior much nicer than stock. Very nice ride for a truck. But Chevy allways did have the lead on that. Easy to work on and find parts for. Makes it nice to find for economic repairs. Oct 15, 2009

this truck is under powered. it has a 4.3L V-6 and a 5-speed manual trans. acceleration is desent if unloaded. is loaded any it is a slug. stops quickly, handles great. build quality is very good the truck has needed few repairs. this p/u looks ok but needs a paint job. cheep to own and opperaite. can be fun to drive it if you drive it right. This truck is all about power to the tires. 7.4L engine makes a lot of acceleration and extreme power. The sound system of this car was amazing as well and just awesome to drive. Its all about the big block.May 03, 2009

I have a 94 and it runs like a top.
it has a 5.7 L 350 V8. Alot of horsepower.Chevrolet did a good job with their paints that year, it hasnt rusted. This truck had a solid drivetrain. It has chevys best transmission availiable at the time. The 5.7 has never dissapointed anyone. 350 cubic inches of steel. for a truck the braking is considerably better than most. handling in corners is good and it has a nice close responsive throttle. it accelerates vary smoothly!Oct 04, 2008

I bought this truck with 220000 miles on it and a month later totalled it. From therre i rebuilt it and now it looks close to brand new with a few customizations. It now has a new motor new transmission, newer tires, and mmany extras. Has a 350 V8 and four wheel drive thats all that matters

It drives like a performance car. It has tons of low end torque making it a blast to drive around town. Only have 125000 miles on it and have only replaced the alternator and distributor. The interior is mint and the Exterior has some faded paint on the hood and top of the cab. Although it only gets 6 mpg I wouldn't trade it for the world. Its a blast to drive.Aug 21, 2008

the truck is great ... it has about 200 thousand miles on it and it still runs like a top..... it has a 5.7 v8 and the truck is still in pretty good interior shape and i cant say enough how much i love this truck... i love GM vehicles if there was one truck that i would hands down recommend a gm vehicle to a friend or just anyone in generalAug 17, 2008

This is a 1990 silverado with a 94 front clip. T56 6 speed out of a 1995 pontiac trans am. I am about to put an eaton locker and 4.10 gears in the rear, followed by dropping in a fresh 383 stroker.Apr 22, 2008

1990 model silverado, it says silverado on the purchase info that my grandpa got when he bought the truck in 1989. I don't know why everyone thinks they didn't start making the Silverado till '99. This used truck was nothing, but headaches. I had to replace the transmission (4 days after purchase), water pump, idler pulley (twice), throttle body, catalytic converter, muffler, most bushings, etc. I bought with my eyes and not with my brain. Lesson learned - move on!Dec 17, 2007

where do i start, driving down the road 60 mph reduced speed to 50 when try to speed up again nothing i could tell something not right pulled over ,, almost felt like was missing on a cylinder or something Long story short i have replaced EVERYTHING normally do not do this i have had 2 mechanic look at it no useful info new fuel pump x2 fuel filter map sensor distributor and everything that attaches to it map sensor and coil was replaced within last year egr valve replaced last 6 months new TPS new injectors new fuel pump reg timing chain and gears and so on my steering wheel is a little loose to pint i have lift gear shifter up a little to shut it into off potions i had guy over looking at it while it was idling it died finally a symptom i thought that is different when it died the injector kept spraying fuel i unplugged them still prayed fuel , fuel pump would not shut off until i turn key off notice this problem over next few days run for 20 min then die injectors keep spraying , replace injectors and oil pressure sensor then stopped running all togetrher cant get it to start up , went to junk yard got ECM replaced it reset it reset timing it fired right up runs great i thought it fixxed the problem i put it in reverse drives great down ally put in drive to come back it sputters and is almost like someone is choking it i give gas want to die i let off gas start running again i am sure one of my new parts is junk but at end my leash with this thing just trying to get it running fast enough to park it into a tree lol i can start it up no problem let run no issues rev up sounds fine put in gear give it gas it hesitates for a sec then wants to die soon let of gas it idles fine again any info would be help ful

Help!! 1990 chevy 1500 electrical issue???
The other day the brake lights went out in truck, recently purchased. Took to shop they said it was a faulty ground wire and fixed the lights I drove home happy. This evening when I went to turn on the defrost and the heat realized the display lights were on but now the heat doesn't work. Im not a mechanic or car savy by any means. So Im wondering is this potentially a huge problem or is this a simple fix?
