Same as above, good for fun, not so much for a family or safety. But it's a great track and or weekend driver. Cost to maintain is low if you have any mechanic ability your self. I would recommend. Thank youAug 31, 2014

Great little car, handles great, fun to drive and super quick. I had one in the 80's and had to have another one. They are a bit pricey to fix. It is hard to find one in excellent condition that hasn't been beat to death but they are out there. I found one after looking for a long time. I had to travel out of state to get it but they are out there. I would say if you can get one that isn't going to be a money pit, buy it! They are a blast to drive. Oh yeah, they are like a tank in the snow. Since the weight is over the back tires, this car drives through the deep snow with no problems! Living in Utah, that is a plus!Aug 01, 2013

I needed a secondary car besides my Corvette-one that runs lol. Knowing myself, I will not settle for a car that is not sporty and doesn't have decent performance. However, I needed something affordable and this seemed to fit the bill. I got this car knowing that it has some minor problems that I listed in the cons. Overall, I don't think that it's the best, but it definitely ain't bad. I'm happy with it. =]Apr 30, 2013

Lightweight, plastic body, mid-engine design. roomy interior for a 2 seater. Handled well and nimble. Typical Pontiac problems: Rebuilt Engine, Rebuilt Tranny, Engine bay too tight to allow the 2.8L V6 to breathe = overheating. Trunk space almost non-existant, no airbags, no ABS. So-so power = 135 HP from the V6, Forced to get an auto trans, since Pontiac sucks at making Manual Transmissions. Poor resale value. Unfortunately, my Fiero GT didn't have the rear spoiler, which it needed to make the car look more sporty. Not a reliable car, I should have listened to Dad and bought a Grand Am...Hell, even a Firebird would have been better!! VERYglad that Pontiac is NOW out of business! Good Riddance!Feb 27, 2013

This car is a real head turner. Its got a custom made front bumper designed as compensation for no spoiler. Its painted Millennium Corvette Yellow. The interior is all original with an all professional audio upgrade with a 10" sub where the center console was. It has LED show lights on the inside also.Aug 06, 2012

I realy like this fiero. The GT fastback style is a very sporty look. I also like that i very rarely see another one on the road or even sitting in someone yard. They are a rare car and a challenge. And for a sports car what more do you need for a reason to own one.Mar 08, 2012

Bought as a summer driver to help save fuel. 160 hp doesnt seem like much but when your car only weighs 2700 lbs, its actually pretty quick. has the 282 5-speed muncie getrag transmission in it. not a bad trans but sometime the gears seem too close together and can easily be missed. Oct 23, 2011

Great handling. Needs a better engine and trans. Planning on fixing that when I get the chance. Had to fix a few things, but was going to anyway and it keeps me busy and out of trouble. Car looks great. Excellent condition considering the price. Not sure about cost of MPG's and such. Havn't driven it much between fixes. So much fun to drive though.Jan 18, 2011

It's a manual, nuff said about acceleration. braking and handling is a dream. it has needed a few repairs but thats mostly just from old age. the car looks and feels great. the only down side is that when they did the paint. they didn't do it properly so my paint is chipping badly. whether it's just mine or not i'm not sure. it's pretty good on gas and you can usually find a fiero for around three grand. over all the car is fun to drive and worth the work for the partsOct 06, 2010

I love this car despite its meager 98 hp. It is light, very basic (no a/c, power windows, or power steering) and has been extremely reliable. This car has been a lot of fun to drive. It gets great gas mileage (as much as 37 mpg highway). I've driven it to the Tail of the Dragon and multiple cross country trips. And, it serves as my faithful daily commuter car (84 miles/day). A little temperamental, not unlike myself. I have owned this car since 1989. Stock everything, including paint. Suede and leather seating, not many made. Great performance, still looks like new, fiberglass is key here. A great summer car, especially sweet.Feb 21, 2010

Tranny Leaks, Rear Tie Rod Mangled, Back Valance Cracked, Headlight Motor Shot, Gutless, Yea, Its a winter Beater. I bought it 3 weeks ago for $1000 and $1000 worth of problems is what it turned out to be. Nuff Said. At least its a GM though.Dec 04, 2009

My first true sports car. 5 speed v6 mid engine rear wheel drive. a little fatser than the other 2 but a whole lot nicer and better handling. very rare only 15,968 GT's made in '87 and less than half were manual. unlike those dime a dozen mustangs. i mean who really wants one of those POS cars anyhow. my car may not be as fast but i would rather have it over a mustang hands down. What sits lower than a corvette and has an ecofriendly engine that will scare the pants off you? A fiero gt of course. I drove one of these and man they are quick. If you want a car that has performance style like a porsche with less than half the price this is the car for you. Don't misunderstand me porsches outperform these easy but they mimic the style of a porsche. Super fast and great on gas. It will go if you can shift fast enough. I love my car. The performance is impressive and the styling is awesome. The body is made out of super-light fiberglass, which helps handling considerably. I love the comfortable bucket seats and the controls on the interior. The gas mileage is okay thanks to the light body. It's six cylinder engine has an automatic transmission which makes it easy to drive. Overall I love my car and will keep it for many years.Sep 17, 2009

When I got the car in the mid 90's it was kinda rare. I remember people constantly asking me "you're still alive" when I told them what I drove. The thing is the problems the car is known for are people being idiots and not taking care of the car. I really did love the car and was sorry to lose it.May 14, 2009

A rare car to see actually driving down the road instead of off in a ditch. The car truly handels and preforms well with the v6. it is fun to drive (for a week until it breaks down) and since it is on a space frame chassis is very easy to customize to your licking. I have had mine for 2 years now and have been working on it ever since.Jul 30, 2008

A neat little idea Pontiac had but GM heavily employed The Corvette Law and cut it down to an underpowered sidenote of the 80's. Fast forward 20 years and it can beat out just about any new production car if you build them right.Jun 24, 2008

Too much rust repair required to safety it, so I parted it out for my current fiero. Great looking car, Great Power, Bad Brakes. If You can find one that hasn't been driven for 22 winters than It'll impress you. The fact that the only cars I've ever owned are fieros shows how great they are.Mar 25, 2008

my first car (2M6) has got to be my favorite even though it is 3 years older than me. this car has and emaculant exterior for a car of twenty one years and has only one little nick on the hood interior is pretty clean. I keep it in show car conditon through the summer everything is stock except the motor i bought the car with a worn out 2.8 V6 we replaced the motor with a brand new jasper engine with 175 horses on the hood or trunk i might say. i plan to keep this car as long as i live and will probably put a chevy small block in it or possible an LS1 in it someday.Mar 11, 2008

The car had been sitting in a lemon lot for 2 years and I needed cheap transportation to a new job so I picked it up for 600 bones. The concept of the car is pretty sweet; 5 speed trans matched up with a 4 cylinder economy motor that boasted 130 hp factory output at 25 mpg. However the car was of course a lemon and after a month of driving it, the clutch went out, putting me in a 2000 dollar prediciment. So I sold it to the first person wh would take it for 750, so I didnt make out too bad.Jan 12, 2008
