The car is an older construction thus not containing any active safety assistances like ABS ASR etc. But it can boast with independent front suspension w torsion springs, and a De Dion rear suspension both with anti-roll bars. This construction gives lots of stability in corners though it could be a little bit stiffer.
The brakes are quite strong enough for this performance, only the rear ones require a bit more attention to be healthy.
Engine is a perfect balance between power (148bhp/187Nm), comfort, driveability and reliability. And it also doesnt take too much fuel (max. 10L urban).
Comfort is also a strong side of the car: it can transport 4 normal and if needed, 1 smaller person too, also on bigger distances. The 500L boot also supports travellers.
Driving fun is guaranteed for those who like spirited driving.:) Oct 19, 2011

Those who own Alfa's know why I love this car! Yes, it does have issue that can drive you crazy, but it's the spirt of this car that makes it a blast to own and drive. The stock car is a great example of wonderful performance. This car has the 2.5L...though I would love to put the 3L with a supercharger in the car...that does take money. The car has also had performance rear springs put in to lower the rear of the car. THis has helped the handling in turns and with the future addition of larger front/rear sway bars, I believe it will stayed glued to the road. Will never get rid of this car!Nov 30, 2009

My Alfa was my first car I ever bought and I have no intention of getting rid of it. It's over 20 years old now but still is a wonderful experience to drive, more fun for the money is impossible.
When I bought my Alfa narrow-minded Volvo-owners told me it would break down and rust away in seconds... But it really doesn't malfunction more than any other car. Stupid narrow-minded people. HA!
I love the looks of the car and the sounds it makes. Actually the sound made me decide to buy the car first time I heard it. A disadvantage is the fairly high fuel consumpion and the cost of insurance. But that disadvantage applies to all cars with a fun enginge inside unfortunaetly...Jun 30, 2008
