86 bronco 2 engine dies when dimmer switch is pulled back.

1986 bronco 2 runs great at idle. When dimmer switch is pulled, even with lights off, it kills the engine. Same when under load, in R or D, and your turn the wheel. Started with ECM, no luck. Checked grounds, seem tight and good. ordered a turn signal switch to try next but that doesn't explain the power steering killing the engine. Wire short in column? I looked but didn't see anything.

I have a 1986 bronco II ,mahre brother edition

it was designed to promote the 1986 winter olympics, placerds with phil and steve mahre autographs on the inside door . they were down hill skiers and twin brothers,TWN logo stitching on the front seats and a metal spare tire cover with a downhill skier logo,also reads SKI FORD, looking for more info on this rig.

1986 bronco 2 starts great but biggs down when given gas

Hi new here but I'm having the same exact problem and I cant for the life of me figure out what is going on, so 86 2.9 new fuel pump, pressure regulator, 30 psi at idle, it starts tight up but as soon as I give it gas it Boggs down and backfires, dev running rich, I can smell it took timing cover off I'm about to replace the chain and h2o pump tomorrow, I pulled codes with a reader and I got 12, 24, 31, 25. So 12 is cant control rpm 24 act/iat 31 evap sensor 25 is nick sensor So I obviously went for the nock sensor and I tested it with a multi meter on a vice and a hammer and it still works so not it's not the sensor, and tested the small wire harness and it's good, distributor cap, rotor is also new and I thin the distributor is new too, just bought it and I'm trying to figure it out on how to get it back on the road thank you in advance

86 bronco II wont start

running great then went to store came out and wouldn't start. changed filter in tank and in line filter, pumps are working, good fuel pressure. new fuel relay, put new spark plugs in the old ones were oil fouled. my engine does not have a crank sensor so it is not that. I am at a loss can any one help
