CO's are to high on 1984 Ford LTD 5l to pass smog
this car has failed smog 3 times for gross polluting. 2000.00 worth of repairs done and now the CO's are too high? anyone know what might cause this????

Fuel pump
Do I need a specific type of pump to go into my fuel tank, or will one of the inline ones that I keep finding on Parts Geek Mount up inside as well? My old 84 LTD has has electronic ignition so I have no idea about this stuff.
