Yes ! And No ! The engine is 7.6 litre and fuel 6.00 dollars a gallon and the truck is 29 years old. Would you , take a chance ? Its only going to get 8 miles to the gallon of of petro. Compared to newer vehicles !Nov 07, 2023

this truck suites my purposes well its my mud truck i wish i had this truck back in its prime or i at least wish more parts were avqailable for it it has plenty of torque cant keep front ends in it tho but im converting it to a dana sixty front end currently and i plan in the future to do a frame off resteration i hope but for now its just my play truckJan 27, 2010

Its loud so everyone knows your coming. It sits up high so your out of the crunch zone and everyone can see you. It has the horse power and torqe you need for anything. The Ac does not work so its hot.Jul 20, 2009

Why does my diesel truck die when I'm driving?
I have a 1984 Ford F350 Diesel truck. Has 6.9 motor. Truck starts okay and will idle all day long. But as soon as I start to drive anywhere it acts like it's running out of fuel and dies. I made sure there was fuel in tank. I have changed filters and fuel lines, replaced fuel pump. I have tried everything I can think of, to no avail. Help please???

Battery drain on 6.9 diesel
We have a 1984 f350 6.9 diesel. If she sits for a day she won't start. We go through about 6 batteries a year. They lose the ability to start the truck. We have changed the alternator and we disconnect the positive terminals on both batteries any time it will sit more than a couple hours but it still loses battery charge (11.7 and 11.6 this morning), enough that we have to jump it. The current batteries are about two months old and when new have no problems starting the truck.

will a gas fuel sending unit work on a diesel pickup?
i have a 1984 f-350 with a 6.9l. my fuel sending units need to be replaced. can't find direct replacement. i need sending units that have a return to them. all that i can find have just a supply line on them. can i block the return on the engine going back to the tanks? or, where can i find the right replacement units?
