We bought the 924 and 944 as a pair -- we favored the 944 so we never even
bothered with this car...soooo...we never got her running. She was in pretty
good shape for having sat so long though, paint a bit faded but interior still held
up great and so did the body.May 17, 2010

cheap as chips but great fun to drive...
The 924 was a brilliant design... transaxle, perfect balance- a little under powered- but amazing considering its age...
good on fuel- a 2.0 (k-jetronic) mechanical fuel injection provides enough meaness to give about 30-35 mpg.
I think the design that Porsche chose after the rear engine design of the 911 was a brain storm. It is a better handling car than any 911- of course the 911 did prevail and evolved into an amazing vehicle...
I can't help but wonder what we would have now if they had continued with the front engined trans-axle design...Nov 15, 2008

The 924 has always been laughed at, and I really don't understand why.
It's a lovely little car, a true sportscar and it's fun to drive it - especially on small country
roads.

Economic toy. Great road holding. A genuine sports car look and feel for very little money.Dec 19, 2007
