I had a lot of fun with this car, and did a lot of bad things to it. I removed the front seat because my dad knew of 2 bucket seats, so I bolted them to the floor very badly.
I removed the front of the car with a wall at 5mph because my hand became wedged between a spoke of the steering wheel and the dashboard shelf whilst trying to reach a fruit pastille on said shelf.
My father helped me completely re-build the front of the car, when I say help, I mean he did all the work. Car was stronger than before, and now had baddass black front wings and valence, which complemented the bright green paint work in Mr Bean sort of way.Mar 21, 2013

Very fun to drive, except for the brakes too light. Not so muc power but added to the small weight, the car have a good capacity of acceleration ! The comfort does not exist on this car... It has a very good power of attraction and people often like it on the street !Sep 16, 2012

my 1978 mini is a special edition(1,500 only) chelsea, part of the london collection.
performance was as expected - 0 - 60 yeah right
built to the usual BL standard, wich i loved cos there is always something to do to it.
interior is cool, if a bit worn, outside although faded a bit was completely original, no replacement panels at all..
runs for miles on a tank as all minis do.
fun factor..... mini1s were made for fun, not for speed, handles like a gokart and looks that have not dated since the first one left the production line

It had some seats in it. Engine always felt like you were going 120mph when you were only going 50mph. It always smelt of petrol.May 13, 2008
