This was my first car and i got to say its a good first car. With the 305 v8 with a 4-barrel it is a long lasting engine not made for extreme power unless you drop a 350 v8 or another chevy small because any GM engine will fit for this vehicle. This car is the chevy cavalier of today but for '77. With the range of 140-230 horsepower its a car with some power but not as much as GMs from the 60s-early 70s. Now you would expect that a car like this would get low gas mileage but it gets a good average of 18 in the city and 21 on the highway. Very durable with an average of 384,000 miles. The chevy nova is the same thing with a different name to me. Anything from the 1978 chevy nova will fit on this vehicle. I, before i had this vehicle, thought it was an old lady car but now i think its a classic beauty with a normal engine and an enjoyable car for everyday driving and easy to work on...Jul 29, 2009
