Can you make a 1971 g-body frame fit a 1972 a-body conv?
I've heard that you just need to shorten the frame by about 4", but I don't know for sure and where to cut it. Plans/diagrams would be sweet.

it has history between me and my marine friends. i traded a blazer for it and the was shipped over seas so i sold it to a friend and 5 years later my wife got it back for christmas. now my and my sons are gunna build itJan 06, 2012

I loved driving it down the road doing burnouts in it when I had it running with the 350 engine but its gonna be twice as much fun with the 455!
Has been torn apart now for about six months and I recently have had no time to go out and work on it. Somethings got to give!Dec 22, 2011

it RUNS,,very powerfull,,needs paint some bubbling on the lower fenders,,only rattle is in 4 th gear,the headers vibrate at low speed,,have new interior just half to install it,,not good gas mileage the 1050 dominator sucks it down,, fun to drive,, u bet it isNov 15, 2011

The body needs comletely redone but the 350H.O. is a strong running motor pushing 300bhp and 300ft-lbs torque. The car is really big giving it a slow, 1/4 mile time but if the motor was down in a Regal that'd be a different story.Apr 08, 2010

It has a Buick 350 in it. 2.56 open rear. It is red with a black 3/4 vinyl top. Dual exhuast. Performance camshaft. It gets around 14 miles to the gallon. The most badass car ive ever had. I has had its share of problems, but i put the motor back together and it runs great now.Jul 21, 2009

This overall is a good car. It does not really accelerate that well, but it is just a daily driver. Gas Mileage is pretty good, because it is a stock 350. It is a well built car, and it should last me quite a few years.May 13, 2009

464 cubic inch Buick engine. 560 horsepower and 580 ft lbs of torque. Naturally aspirated with 950 proform carb, SPX intake, aluminum heads. Switch pitch tranny and 3:42 gears.
Car was a wreck when we started, Tyler was 14. Me and Stephanie started a 57 Bel Air restoration when she was young and we never finished it. Tyler thought we would never finish this one. It was dismantled and rebuilt by us and I had several goals.
1. Wanted an 11 second street car....Done, 1/4 mile 11.70 based on 1/8th mile conversion, with street tires and through the mufflers.
2. wanted to pull front tires off the ground at take off......done
3. run on pump gas
4 highway driveable
We accomplished all of these things with this car, and we race it almost every other weekend at different tracks. And Tyler ends up winning money almost every time.May 13, 2009
