I bought the car from a junk yard I was working at..$85.. put some junk yard
tires and a fender on it...threw a battery in and it started right up. Durn thing
took me from Florida to Pennsylvania....then to Illinois and on to California. Put
an alternator and brakes on there and drove it to Michigan. Put in a flywheel and
water pump in Mi. Later drove it to Mississippi...bad move...the salt air really ate
away at it...till it was unsafe to drive. The car ran like a top...would go over 100
mph...never got more than 25mpg, though. It was a fun little car.Aug 20, 2010

Bought this car while in the army in Alabama. Was cheaper than constantly repairing my '66 Mustang.
Fun to drive even with 62 horsepower, well balanced, top speed about 82mph. Never got less than 30mpg even when driven to Florida flat out (actually went 85 downhill).
My father kept this car and had over 130000 miles when he got rid of it. Nothing ever went wrong, ever!Aug 20, 2010

My first car - paid $850. It would do 55 mph with the pedal on the floor, but it got 40 mpg, and it got me across the wide prairie with everything I owned. First day that I bought it, the starter failed and I learned all about part prices for Japanese autos. It finally rusted out...Aug 02, 2008
