1971 Chevrolet Vega Reviews, Pricing & Specs

My very first and favorite car, it just looked fast standing still. I bought it not knowing how to drive a standard, but I learned on the test drive, true story. I rented a storage garage so as not to show my parents...they thought v8's weren't necessary. I must have put it together and taken it apart several times, upgrading after each breakage, to get it right. In hindsight it screamed "look at me" but, at the time I just loved to drive the hell out of it! I once launched so hard that the passenger seat complete with occupant ended up jambed in the hatch area. Too much fun.Oct 21, 2011
