This car Started life with a 4 cylinder, It Now has 327 CID/350 HP with
a Power Glide 2sp Automatic Trans and a ford 9" 4.10 ring and
pinion. This car was a basket case but with a little cash and hard
work, it turned into a great racer, it use to be the one to beat if you
wanted a race with John Reasoner's 383 Stroker Camaro ..... One of

It got about 250 miles to a quart of oil, and not a bit of smoke or leaking! I was told that's because it burned the stuff so efficiently.Apr 30, 2008

replacement with a differnet engine and use my tranny
I had one in Highschool 26 years ago and just got another this past weekend. The orginal engine is in there and I can't find rebuild kits. Through the internet, I found out why, I would like to know what other kind of engine I can put in there that will bolt up to my 4 speed. I am really not interested in going the V8 direction. I don't want to go fuel ingection either. I want to stay cheap and just put it on the road for around town. Thank you for your time and any help. Mat in Graford Texas
