The Renault 16 wrote the book on comfortable, reliable, spirited and functional performance! I get a lot of looks and the car has never let me down. It's great fun to drive, and no one could ever steal it because it's got 4 speeds on the column, and no one has seen one of them in ages!May 13, 2010

The groundbreaking Renault 16 was the worlds first middle class front-wheel-drive hatchback car. Even today, it sets standards for comfort, style, economy and performance that new cars cannot meet!
It's great fun to drive, turns heads wherever you go, and will carry five in comfort anywhere! There's nothing like a French car!
Sold for about $2295 - $2595 in the USA from 1969 to 1972. Replaced by the Renault 12, and the Renault 18i.Sep 28, 2008
