performance:the 179 is still going strong after 46 years with a monthly check up
build quality:good considering its a 46 year old car fair amount of rust but fixable
appearance:chunky body lines built like a brick but are cool
cost of owner ship:isnt overly great on fuel but needs a better tune
fun factor:not real fun but your always cruisin in styleOct 25, 2010

MYEHUTE has never had a proper restore the body is in original condition just had a cheap respray over the original paint. never had any rust removed as it does not have much. currently has cheap jap crap buckets seats, worked 202 yella terra head 30 thou flat top piston small to medium sized cam shaft. starfire conrods, extractors and 320 economaster holley on a dingo manifold, in front of a m21 aussie 4 speed manual and 3.08 banjo diff with a balanced tailshaft and a exedy high perfomance clutch, goes very hard and very economical using about 9.5 litres of fuel per 100 ks, has hr ball joint front end with power boosted LH torana discs and a chrome hr rear housing. handles very well for 64 ehJul 31, 2010

I love my EH the only reason I rated its performance as
terrible is due to the fact its got no motor and is in my back
yard looking like a garden ornament and crying for a shed and
restoration!Aug 13, 2009

The EH has a slow take off but better performance in the top end. Ive had her to right on 100mph but had to back off quickly before I drifted off the country road. The handling is like that of a tractor. Steering wheel has a lot of give before the steering responds.
It is in original condition apart from surface rust etc being taken out, being on gas conversion and having an am/fm radio installed.
Complete with bench seats, automatic colum shift, high beam light switch on the floor, jesus straps in the back & no seat belts, it's just like the day it roll off the factory production line.
It's green with a white roof with matching interior, (all vinyl).
It's an awesum cruiser for the Sunday drive or weekday down the coast. As my first car, I love her.
