Why do my shifter boots tare
I've replaced 3 torn shifter boots in my '64 Corvette and now no. 4 is torn. I think they're too thin. Does anyone have a suggestion?

The 1964 Chevrolet Corvette continued the Corvette's trek to become the premier muscle car. In the "looks" department, the unpopular (among most) split rear window was removed, as were the fake hood vents. A three-speed fan was available to improve ventilation.
Chevrolet manufactured 8,304 Sting Ray coupes and 13,925 convertibles. Engines were available as a 327-ci, 250 horsepower all that way up to a 327-ci, fuel-injected machine capable of 375 horsepower (known among muscle car fans as the "L84 Fuelie").

I fixed a float level problem in my Holley 4bbl on my 400ci Chevy engine. When I started it it ran very rough. I have exhaust headers and could feel them individually. Only cylinders 1,2,and 3 are firing, the rest are cold. I pulled the plugs, cleaned and gaped them. The distributor cap/rotor look good. Any ideas?
How many belts are on the 64 365hp L76 engine without A/C ?
I was wondering my dad had a 1964 corvette stingray 327 4 speed. I’m pretty sure he said it had 4 mechanical 2 barrels. I was 5 years old when he sold it to my uncle $3500. He carried a picture of it in his wallet till he passed. Around 50 years. My question is did they make 4 -2 barrels
Cannot find an air filter for my 1964 mid year 327/365 corvette. Have ordered a number of filters and their about a quarter of an inch to tall. Talked with ZIP Corvette and local Chevy dealer and the orginial filter an AC22 is no longer made. Not sure where to go after ordering numbers of filters hoping they would work
