1962 was the last of the first generation of Corvettes, ending the straight-axle/real trunk era. The '62 Corvette had options capable of making it a true racing machine, including thermo-activated cooling fans, aluminium-cased transmissions, and a 24-gallon fuel tank.
14,532 Corvettes were produced in 1962, marking a 30% jump in sales.

The vehicle certainly appeared in excellent shape and felt the car was of good value as well. Ive really been searching for a 1966 or 1967 standard shift corvette convertible for $80k or under.May 20, 2024

Paint is all cracked. Rubber components shot etc. It’s definitely a complete restore job, but it’s all original. Oct 02, 2023

This car was a total frame off restoration over 6 years ago. NOW an incredible show car shown all over California and Nevada. I drive this car every weekend and is not a "Trailer Queen". I show her in over 60 car shows per year and have won over 200 trophys to date.Jul 20, 2013

This car was so much fun to drive. It is in excellent condition. Pereformance was great. 4 speed, shift was very smooth. Had a few squeaks and rattles but don't they all. This car was the most fun to drive of all.Mar 20, 2009

It was just the only car I had a picture of on my work computer...
But, I love it! My favorite one is the Honduras Maroon 1962 Corvette Convertible. I actually paid the guy for it when I was about 5!May 15, 2008

What year was the last laidup (Vs press molded) figerglass used?
I have seen a 1961 Vette which appears to have a press molded fiber glass body; yet I have a 1962 Vette which has a laid up fiber glass body.
