Do all 1961 Volvo 544 with a B16 engine use the same points? Purchased points and did not fit properly.

What is the specified Ignition point gap and or dwell angle for a B16B engine.

Hi , Can anybody let me know if its normal for the brake pedal to be really hard when you press it, hardly moves down and the braking action is not 100% but cant really say its bad????

'shopping' for parts.....Skandix lists 6(?) different transmission types. I have a 1961 544, has a B18D engine. I know NUMEROUS parts on this car are from different years, but the engine WAS/is a dual SU carb B18.(Husband re-designed for a single carb). Might not have come original to this car, since I bought 4 clunkers for extra parts (1 good runner w/title) but sure about this engine. I hope this makes sense............
