The 300SL in the family has a red leather interior, with the original luggage bags in the back. the first of the 300's was meant to race in the monte carlo or le mans, or some big race. when fans saw this beautiful vehicle fly by them, they immediatly wanted one. in 1957, the 300's began arriving in America. most people think they call it the Gullwing because of the doors, that's false. they call it the Gullwing because of the way the frame is built around the cabin of the vehicle. if you look inside a 300, look right under the console and you will see part of the frame. with a sleek, beautiful body, and a lot of power, this is a masterpiece.Jun 09, 2008
