Love to drive and wave back at everyone. Feels good to finally own one. Becoming more rare. The 57 rides very well and has good acceleration and class, but it loves gas stations. Have considered selling it because I don't drive it enough, but hate dealing with people who try to low ball. It's not worth the trouble.Nov 27, 2014

Great Cruiser from the '50's. Runs as good as it looks, and is a ball to drive. I am not afraid to drive it anywhere as it is extremely reliable. I built this car from 3 cars that were disposed of.Jun 02, 2012

What's not to like? A blast form the past. The All-American hotrod! This one has an engine. I love the cam, she lopes in second gear! This car is 54 years old. Just lots of fun to drive and show.Apr 14, 2011

70k original Miles. Family owned since 1995. Was a 16th birthday gift in 2004. Started a full restoration in 2006. Body work and paint done by myself, Base/clear w/ 3 coats of clear. Some brand new chrome and trim, all the rest was refinished. New Glass all the way around. New exhaust, all new, original design interior. Many factory options. 283 V8 with less then 2k miles since rebuild. Original 2 speed power glide transmission.Aug 05, 2010

A gorgeous car. As a wise man once told me no matter what car you drive it wishes it was a 1957 Chevy. This car is my Dad's and it is no normal 57 instead of the original 6 cyl it has a performance built 454 from a 1970 Chevelle SS. It has 500+ horsepower and it's performance is amazing in a straight line but i wouldnt want to take it into a corner. The interior is amazing and the outside is even better but the gas mileage is enough to kill OPEC.Sep 23, 2009

Car didn't stop turn or accelerate. It had body roll like
a royal navy ship of the line and had no creature
comforts not even a padded dash but was a barn find
and two tone green. The car had 36000 original miles
on it and hadn't been on the road since the seventies
so the spare tire in the trunk was rotted and the gas
tank fouled but was fun to drive and show off. You
can't mess with a classic. We had the inline 6 cylinder
engine with a rochester 1 bbl carburetor. Sep 08, 2008

The nineteen fifty-seven Chevrolet is the coolest regular production car Ever made. The style is one of a kind and there has never been anything close to it. Popular as a family car it also was a huge hit with the 2 door coop that was very sporty. Then came the muscle cars of the 60's and big V-8 engines were lifted into the 1957 which could accept up to a 454 cubic inch engine or about a 6.2 Liter engine. With a lift kit in the back and "Cheater slicks", you were ready to drag race on the strip. Sep 07, 2008

It's tough to be objective with classics like the 57 Bel Air. A restored original Bel Air is slow and handles like a shopping cart. However, it's still pretty plush for an older vehicle. The ride is soft and smooth.. probably too smooth.
This is the car that everyone's dad absoultely loves and I can really see why. I never really understood the fin and flair era of American auto styling but this helps.Mar 15, 2008

The steering wheel was too big for me. I needed a pillow behind me so I could see over the steering wheel. I believe the car was green and white. Dec 28, 2007
