57 Chevy Transmission
I have a 57 Chevy with 3 on the tree. I am having trouble with it hanging up between 1st,and 2nd gear! I also have a problem with it jumping out of high gear when I am driving about 60 mph. Can this be adjusted with the linkage, or do I need to rebuild the transmission?

What kind of seal is needed between the hood hinge and the cowl on a 57 chevy?
I'm going to be straightening the bent hood hinges on my 57 chevy tomorrow and I'm wondering what kind of seal or sealer/sealant to use where the hinge bolts to the cowl. There is still some sealant on there and is a whitish caulky material almost like glazing compound. Much appreciated!
