Reviewed a 1993 Saab 2 Dr S Luxury Hatchback on Aug 1, 2008

I Love this car. That about says it, but although this car is not turbo charged it still has some pep, especially down low. The torque peak is at 2900 RPM, which gives it some umph when you are just crusin through traffic. The styling of the car was obviously not done by Porsche Design, but it is definitely unique. They only down side to this car is the close gear ratio which makes highway driving very noisy. Through town and on country roads the car is brilliant it handles better than average altough there is still room for improvment. One of the best things about the car is how well it drives in the snow. All of the weight is in the front so it really grips quite well despite the crappy kmart blue light special tires that are on it (I did not put them on, the previous owner did). This car (knock on wood) is built like a tank, this due to SAAB's rally heritage and there idea to build this car like a rally car. I would recommend this as a first car or as a fun run-around car (not farm car).
