Overview

Introduced for the 2017 model year, it builds on the function-first Colorado and adds comprehensive chassis gear for tackling the trail. The whole package is capped off with wider fenders and more aggressive bumpers designed for approaching and clearing obstacles. The ZR2 comes standard with a gas V6 engine and is available with a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel four-cylinder engine. In 2021, the ZR2 was updated with a new front-end design to make it stand out even more from the rest of the lineup.
