Overview
The BMW 4 Series was first spun off from the 3 Series coupe for the 2014 model year. This allowed the athletic and refined BMW coupe mature and evolve in its own manner, separate from the popular 3 Series sedan. The 435i represents the six-cylinder “sweet spot” between the base 428i and the high-performance M4 Coupe. The 435i provides engaging driving dynamics and a driver-focused cockpit. It is outfitted with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, which was still maturing at the time. The dial-operated system is not as intuitive as its modern incarnation, but is not so complicated that it will distract you from the 435i’s fun driving experience.
