What should I look for when buying a used Volvo EX90?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 100% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Pilot Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane centering, along with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera system, automatic reverse braking, a semi-automated parking system, a passenger safe exit warning, a rear-seat passenger reminder with internal radar, and a traffic-sign reader.
• Infotainment: a large 14.5-inch central infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and a wireless charging pad.
• Range & charging: 111-kWh battery pack (107 kWh usable), up to 310 miles on a single charge, and DC fast-charging at up to 250 kW, which should get you from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 30 minutes.
• Battery health: When you shop used, focus on battery state-of-health, how the previous owner charged the vehicle day to day, and whether the remaining battery warranty still applies.

Which Volvo EX90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Volvo EX90 offers these trims:

• Plus: the entry-level trim starts at $81,290 and gives you the base EX90 experience in a well-equipped three-row EV package.
• Ultra: the top trim adds the active air suspension and is the one to choose if you want the most polished ride and the fullest feature set.
• Performance: this version is the one experts drove in Ultra trim, and it brings the strongest output in the 2025 lineup.

What Volvo EX90 do most buyers choose?

The Volvo EX90 years with the most listings are 2026, 2025, and 2027.

The highest-volume years tend to draw the most attention because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right price and equipment mix. They also usually make it easier to shop confidently when you want a balance of availability and value.

What is the Volvo EX90's resale value?

The EX90's used pricing shows a sharp year-over-year drop, which can create a more attractive entry point for used buyers. Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −26.24% versus a year ago.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 17.9% good and great deals.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2026 model has the most listings. The Volvo EX90 offers a clean, modern cabin with a spacious, upscale feel that suits family use very well.

Consider waiting if:

• Range & charging: Under the floor of the EX90 is a 111-kWh battery pack (107 kWh of which is usable), and all EX90 models are estimated to return up to 310 miles on a single charge, though with larger wheels, that drops slightly to 300 miles.
• Tech: Standard tech features for all EX90s include a large 14.5-inch central infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charging pad.
• Safety: The lidar sensor is intended to enhance the existing safety features and help eliminate front-end collisions altogether.

If you're buying used today, the 2026 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
