Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: IQ.Drive suite
• Infotainment: 12.9-inch touchscreen on the base SE and a 15-inch touchscreen on other trims, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: 25 mpg combined with FWD and 23 mpg with AWD

Which Volkswagen Atlas trim should I buy?

The 2027 Volkswagen Atlas offers these trims:

• SE: The entry trim uses a 12.9-inch touchscreen, standard leatherette seating surfaces, a power liftgate, rear sunshades, a nine-speaker audio system, a 12-way ergonomic driver’s seat, ambient lighting, dual wireless charging pads, and the IQ.Drive suite; it suits you if you want the most affordable path into the lineup.
• SE w/Tech: This is the best-value trim, adding a 15-inch touchscreen, a factory hitch, remote start, and an illuminated light bar while keeping the Atlas’s roomy, upscale character.
• SEL R-Line: This trim adds the R-Line look, Varenna leather, a head-up display, and AWD standard, making it a strong pick if you want a more premium presentation.
• SEL Premium R-Line: This top trim adds Nappa leather, a surround-view camera, automatic parking, and the most upscale cabin treatment in the lineup.

What Volkswagen Atlas do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Atlas years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

Higher-volume years usually give you more choices on trim, mileage, and price, which makes it easier to find a used Atlas that fits your budget and feature priorities. They also tend to be the years shoppers cross-shop most often, so pricing and deal availability are usually easier to compare.

What is the Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The table shows broad price declines across the Atlas lineup, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. Several model years have dropped by double digits, so recent used examples may offer stronger value than they did a year ago. The smaller declines on some newer years suggest those models have softened less than the steepest movers.

The 2023, 2024, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
