Overview

The Toyota 4Runner has been tearing up trails and backwoods tracks for decades, and the TRD Pro model takes its off-road prowess to the next level. Toyota introduced the trim in 2015 as a more rugged, capable version of the already impressive 4Runner. It featured skid plates, TRD suspension, and more. Today’s SUV gets the same upgrades, along with a host of tech and comfort updates to keep it relevant. Still, the 4Runner feels (and is) aging compared to more modern rivals, though most can’t muster the level of capability off-road.
