Comparable MPG and practicality to a sedan, yet adds AWD and more versatility. Mainly waiting to see how reliability and cost of ownership holds up - Subarus have a good name to them...

According to all the sources I consulted, the car I was looking at was overpriced by at least $3,000.00, so I made an offer that was about $3,000.00 below the dealer's asking price. They made a counter offer, but still about $2,000.00 high, so we couldn't agree. Otherwise, the staff was unfailingly polite and professional, and if we'd agreed on a price, I'd have said it was a wonderful dealer to do business with.

The salesperson didn't know a whole lot about the car and were unwilling to lower the price much at all, despite that it had painted. We got home and have had issues with the air flow in the turbo. It hiccups. It's unfortunate that we live 4.5 hours away and they won't allow us to get the car looked at by our local Subaru dealer.

When I went to see this car at the dealership, the car was filthy dirty on the outside. Looked like it had been off road. Which made me think the car was not well taken care of while on the lot. They also could not tell me (officially) how many miles on the tires and the status of the brakes and clutch. They also wanted to charge $2,200 for the 100,000 mile or 7 year warranty, which other dealers are including in the price for similar versions. The salesman quoted me $3,000 higher than the internet manager did and was resistant to give me a trade in price on my current subaru. I have chose to pass on the car based upon this experience. Was really bummed too, as I wanted this vehicle. Will wait to find another one or lease a new one.
