Same outcome as Fisker - it will be a brick, but better car than Fisker

Comparable models Ive driven include Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, both of which I loved. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have been given access to a 2021 Launch Edition for a couple months, with no intention of buying it. Well that intention changed about the minute we took our first drive, and our sentiment only intensified after that, finding more and more subtle features that we just love about the thing. Instantly you feel immediate torque. The cocoon like cockpit makes you feel super secure in the car, and in absolute control for a better driving experience. the digital dashboard cluster shows the map and other data, while the 11.2-inch tablet touch panel provides easy intuitive access to features like climate control, safety features, maps, charging locations, individual or overhead camera, music sources, the Vivaldi browser, et al. The accelerator pedal long travel is just perfect, and not twitchy like others that felt like it was going to take off on the slightest press. Steering wheel feels nice and tight, not to floaty, nor too twitchy like a video game. This car just feels so right and didnt take very long at all to get accustomed to. Best handling car Ive ever piloted, for superb driving experience. theres nothing not to like, other than occasional glitches like linking my phone one when wife unlocked with her key fob, set her profile (apps, one pedal drive off), her seat position etc, but strangely blue toothed to my phone. Update to P1.9 seems to have corrected it since we can not reproduce. the car has nice overhead connect button that calls Polestar. I had to use this once when friend was messing with the overhead SOS button. favorite feature might be Tesla-like regenerative braking that Polestar calls One-pedal drive, where you seldom have to use the brakes, its tuned just so perfectly and feels great with visual graph showing you how much charge youre putting back into the battery. least favorite might be that Polestar scaled down the non-Pilot pack too much, eliminating safety features we feel essential, like 360 cam thats useful to perfectly position it in a tight garage. We ended up using the car for recreation, parked in garage to listen to music and just hang out. Id do wish they had Apple CarPlaycompleted (though Google Automotive OS is really nicely integrated), a Head-Up Display, and streaming apps to watch Netflix using the 13-speaker HK surround sound system. we got so many compliments and gawkers, wife was so happy to hear mid 20-something shout out AWESOME CAR. it made her day. she now despises driving her gas car, so were committed to EV, soon to be leasing a Polestar 2 and slapping down money on a Polestar 3 the second pre-orders become available later this year for delivery next. in summary, its been 25+ years since Ive had so much fun driving, just plain driving when it was fun before the novelty wore off. Id arrive home from an errand and try and find somewhere else I needed to go, or take the long way home bc I didnt want the music to end. recommended : Strong Buy

Nice looking car. Smaller than I expected on the inside. The lack of thought to cupholders and the waste of space with the center console really hinder it being a comfortable and usable experience for the price.
