How much does the Mercedes-Benz CLE cost in today's market?
Used Mercedes-Benz CLE prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Round Range |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | $64,151 | $62,893 – $66,139 |
| 2024 | $56,930 | $56,667 – $59,540 |
The Mercedes-Benz CLE's current nationwide average price is $62,951, and its lowest point over the past year was $60,159. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.
Is the Mercedes-Benz CLE a good car?
Expert reviews rate the 2025 and 2026 models among the highest across all years.
The CLE’s strongest appeal is its stylish design, easy-to-use technology, and balanced grand-touring character, with the AMG 53 adding especially strong ride-and-handling balance. The main tradeoffs are premium pricing, limited cargo space, and some recommended driver-assist features that are reserved for available packages.
33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
What should I look for when buying a used Mercedes-Benz CLE?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 95.8% |
| 2025 | 96.3% |
| 2024 | 95.5% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Driver Assistance Package
- Infotainment: MBUX software with an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging
- Fuel efficiency: The coupe is EPA-rated at 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined, and the convertible drops slightly to 19/26/22 mpg city/highway/combined.
Which Mercedes-Benz CLE trim should I buy?
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLE offers these trims:
- CLE 300 4Matic: The entry point for buyers who want the CLE’s style and premium feel with the most accessible starting price in the lineup.
- CLE 450 4Matic: A stronger step up for shoppers who want more performance and equipment while staying below AMG pricing.
- CLE 53: The best-value trim for buyers who want the CLE’s most complete blend of power, handling, and standout character; it adds the AMG-tuned 3.0-liter inline-six, rear-axle steering, adaptive dampers, and the most athletic setup in the range.
What Mercedes-Benz CLE do most buyers choose?
The Mercedes-Benz CLE years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 616 | 33.1% |
| 2024 | 397 | 32.7% |
| 2026 | 381 | 32.5% |
| 2027 | 225 | 33.3% |
Higher-listing years usually draw more shoppers because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right color, trim, and price. They also tend to be the most visible choices in the market, so you can shop with more confidence and more leverage.
What is the Mercedes-Benz CLE's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | $64,151 | −2.65% |
| 2024 | $56,930 | −1.97% |
Both model years show modest price declines, which is helpful if you’re shopping used and want to buy after some of the early depreciation has already happened. The smaller year-over-year changes also suggest these CLEs are holding value reasonably well for buyers who want a premium coupe or convertible. The 2024 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Mercedes-Benz CLE safe?
- 2026: 7/10
- 2025: 7/10
- 2024: 7/10
The 2026 model includes the Driver Assistance Package, which adds adaptive cruise control, active blind-spot monitors, intersection assist, automatic lane-change capability, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and evasive steering assist.
For the safest used buy, the 2024, 2025 and 2026 models all post the highest confirmed score of 7/10.
Should I buy a used Mercedes-Benz CLE now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −2.65% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −1.97%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 32.7%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $64,151. The Mercedes-Benz CLE offers a stylish, easy-to-live-with grand-touring character that blends luxury with everyday usability.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The CLE 53 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that generates 443 horsepower and a standard 413 pound-feet of torque that can ramp up to 443 lb-ft for 10-second boosts.
- Tech: It gets a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.
- Safety: The latest model adds adaptive cruise control, active blind-spot monitors, intersection assist, automatic lane-change capability, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and evasive steering assist.
- Starting price: The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 coupe starts at $77,650, including a $1,350 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Mercedes-Benz CLE test drive
overall
Mercedes’ rationalized coupe and convertible lineup still delivers a premium experience.
We can’t have all the nice things, but we can have some of them. Until 2023, Mercedes-Benz offered both the midsize E-Class and the compact C-Class as coupes and convertibles alongside the meat-and-potatoes sedans. But lagging sales prompted the manufacturer to consolidate those lines into a single model called CLE. The new cars are the size of the E-Class but essentially use the ever-so-slightly less premium C-Class interior.
Every CLE performs well, but the AMG 53 model turns up the wick on power and handling. It tops the lineup until a CLE 63 arrives, and wears the duds of the AMG lineup without becoming a hardcore track car. Basically, it’s a finely tuned grand tourer that works for a weekend away in the mountains or as an everyday driver. We drove the AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet and found it a treat to still have at least some nice things.
Verdict: The CLE 53 is a stylish convertible that’s great to drive, but the experience doesn’t come cheap.
